The Kombucha That's More Than Just Probiotics

Hello and welcome to another blog post! We all know that kombucha contains probiotics, but did you know that it also has many other benefits for your health and well-being? In this blog post, we'll go through some of the amazing benefits of Cridling kombucha and give you some examples of how to enjoy this delicious drink.

Did you know that Kombucha is a potential source of antioxidants? Antioxidants are substances that protect your cells from the damage caused by free radicals, which are unstable molecules that can contribute to aging, inflammation, and chronic diseases. Kombucha made from green tea like Cridling, may have even more antioxidant power, as green tea is rich in polyphenols, a type of antioxidant plant compound (1, 2).

Obviously, we can't ignore the probiotics as those contained in kombucha may help improve your gut health. Kombucha is a fermented drink that contains live microorganisms (also known as probiotics). Probiotics can help balance the levels of bacteria in your gut and improve your digestion, immunity, and mood. Some studies have shown that kombucha can modulate the gut microbiota and prevent or treat gastrointestinal disorders, such as diarrhoea, ulcerative colitis, and irritable bowel syndrome (3, 4).

Kombucha may help lower your risk of certain diseases. Some research suggests that kombucha may have protective effects against conditions such as diabetes, cancer, and cardiovascular disease. This may be due to its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties, as well as its ability to regulate blood sugar levels, cholesterol levels, and blood pressure (5, 6, 7). Cridling premium range is made with pure honey which should supercharge all of these positive effects.

Kombucha may help support your liver health. Your liver is responsible for detoxifying your body from harmful substances, such as alcohol, drugs, and pollutants. Kombucha may help your liver function better by reducing the oxidative stress and toxicity caused by these substances. Some animal studies have shown that kombucha can prevent or reverse liver damage induced by acetaminophen (a common painkiller) or carbon tetrachloride (an industrial solvent) (8, 9).

Kombucha is a tasty and refreshing beverage. Besides its health benefits, Cridling kombucha is also a great way to quench your thirst and satisfy your taste buds. Kombucha has a slightly sour and fizzy taste that can be enhanced by adding various flavorings, such as fruits, spices, herbs, or juices. At Cridling we have four flavours in our premium honey range and more will be available in our new vegan range. Sign up for our newsletter for information on the vegan range launch, happening soon.

As you can see, kombucha is more than just a drink with probiotics. It's a drink with many benefits for your body and mind. So why not give it a try and see for yourself? You might be surprised by how much you like it!
